Meltem, instructor at PSS Pilates Cihangir

Meltem Açıl

Instructor

Her exploration of Pilates started with getting to know her own body and trying out various exercises. 

Meltem Açıl is a graduate of Marmara University Faculty of Education. After completing her 200-hour Yoga Alliance approved training, she obtained the Australia Sport’s Institute Pilates Instructor certificate from Balanced Body, where she adapted the movement system and technique that combines yoga to tailor it to different bodies and postures. Focusing on individual development, she closely monitors the progress of individuals through her work.

As an instructor who prioritizes precise movement execution customized for each individual, she is also enthusiastic about pushing boundaries to facilitate the body's optimal development

Osman Çelik founder of PSS Pilates Cihangir

Osman Çelik

Founder-Instructor

Osman Çelik is a graduate of Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory with a background in dance and ballet. Having danced for 21 years, he celebrated the 49th year as the lead dancer in the National Turkish Contemporary Ballet Company, with over 1000 stage performances in various productions. Osman holds 2nd level certifications from the Turkish Gymnastics Federation, as well as Stott and Balanced Body Pilates instructor certifications.

He is actively involved in promoting the harmony of body and mind, conducting workshops and classes on instructor training and teaching techniques. As a dancer, he explores the impact of exercises on the muscles and skeletal system, incorporating his personal experience of awareness and transformation. With a commitment to guiding individuals towards the right exercises, he established PSS Pilates Cihangir in 2014.

Co-founder-Instructor

Embarking on an active teaching journey with yoga in 2013, this proficient instructor seamlessly integrates detailed anatomical knowledge, personalized exercises, and tailored Pilates sessions. Serving as a Balanced Body instructor since 2014, she continues her work as the co-founder and Pilates instructor at Pss Pilates Cihangir studio since. Holding a degree in Sports Management from Anadolu University, she has completed training in exercise programs focusing on injury prevention.

With expertise in both equipment-based and mat exercises, she excels in defining the body, creating exercise programs, and diversifying routines based on the individual's structure and various forms. A proficient educator, she is adept at monitoring the process and tailoring exercises to enhance body movement capacity, drawing on her dance background and curiosity about ballet. Her goal is to adapt yoga-inspired advanced exercises to individuals, promoting correct movements and optimizing the body's mobility to reach its best form.
